Notes
Motors
Regarding motors, although most of the obsoleted items are available as a special order, the recommended replacements are both less expensive and have equal or better performance.
Optical Modules (QCI-OPTOx)
The Optical I/O Module was updated to allow for a separate connection (ENA/V+) to Pin 1 on the SMI port. For the SilverNugget N3 controller, this pin is used for Driver Enable.
Resistor Packs (QCI-CLRP-x)
After we introduced the QCI-CLCF-04-R2 (closed frame clamp module with an internal 2 ohm resistor), the Clamp Module Resistor Packs were no longer required. The QCI-CLCF-04-R2 can handle the full deceleration for any of our 34 frame motors. In those rare cases where the servo is in a continuous decel mode, external power resistors can be added to the QCI-CLCF-04 (see tech doc for details) and mounted to a user supplied heat sink.
